Camden Markets & Lion King - West End
Thursday - our first stop was Platform 9 and 3/4 at Kings Cross Station. A great photo opportunity for us Harry Potter fans! Daggy but fun :)
Next we headed out to Camden Markets - WOW! "Market" does not really describe it - it is nothing like any market I have ever been to. Of course it is operating everyday and is a permanent feature but it still has the markety feel about it. And it is MASSIVE! Another amazing experience. Lots of junky stuff but also lots of interesting and different items also. And delicious international food stalls. Yum!
We wandered along the canals and saw Little Venice with the many canal boats that people are living in and saw how the locks work.
We had another brief visit to the British Museum before another Marks & Spencers dinner (£10 dinner for 2 which fed all four of us including a bottle of Australian wine!)
Then out to the West End for Lion King. Again - WOW! We all loved the performance. The costumes and puppets are just amazing and so clever. And of course the music and voices were fabulous. Loved it.
Quick and crowded tube ride home to bed.
Did I mention we are having a great time??!!!:)
