On the Road to Gainsborough

Well we are out of London and we have hit the road in our Vauxall hire car.
Today we travelled North out of London and our first stop was at Cambridge - univerity town. What a beautiful place. It helped that the weather today was just perfect - it reached 20 degrees!! There were loads of people punting up the Cambridge river and just out and about enjoying the gorgeous gardens and sunshine.
Then on the road again to Gainsborough - my mum's home town. We have been overwhelmed with hospitality from my Uncle and his partner. It is lovely to be staying in a home and around family.

So back to me. Week 1 of holidays has gone very fast. I think we are in for an even faster week 2.
Looking forward to reading more about your trip.
Take care and I'll get your recommendations for dining at Marks and Sparks when you get back.

  2. Lilly says - we are safe so far no broken legs or arms. I have purple high converse gym boots - they're very comfortable. I hope you are having a good school holidays back in Canberra.
Ann says to Pete - yes you can borrow the trailer! We will not be needing it! How was Germany? And the ash cloud is a non event from the ground we can see nothing. Waiting for it to fall...
Ann says to Sara - how's Toby?
    Talk to you later! xo

  3. How's Toby? Hmmm never going back to the dog run at the lake. Too many "incidents" and I'm sure they will be posting a photo of Toby soon as a warning to all. He is still neurotic and I'm still carrying the water spray bottle. Missing our walks by the way.
