Hampton Court

We cannot believe it is only day 3 as we have already done so much. We have walked a LOT - lucky we are the Walker's!
The kids are handling it all very well.Yesterday we took a trip out to Hampton Court Palace - most well known as one of the homes of Henry VIII. Amazing place - so well kept and presented, really bringing the history to life. Loved it. Especially having read "The Other Boelyn Girl" - the story of poor old Ann Boelyn and her even more unfortunate sister Mary.
The photo is of the kids with Henry VIII and his last wife Kateryn. Lucky for her he died before he got sick of her too!
We were still all a bit jet lagged yesterday and feeling pretty tired by the time we got back to Arran House so we found cheap and easy pizza for dinner.
I am now reading "The Other Queen" (since I left my book on the plane- very silly).

  1. Hi guys, looks like you're having a great time! We are keeping in touch with all of your going ons and it seems you are fitting in more than humans normally do in a day! Great photos. Caitlin and Olivia have just looked at your photo of the Platform 9 3/4 and they are very jealous and excited for you all. We are starting to look forward to our trip - we won't have a blog - too lazy but hope to keep in touch with you all. Stay safe, love the Walker/Sheather Clan. XXXXX
