Chateaux Chenonceaux ( Mothers Day)

After our absolutely divine home made breakfast (fresh yoghurts, baguettes, home made jams) we set off for our first french chateaux visit.
Before we got there though we discovered a market in Amboise that was selling all sorts of amazing and interesting produce. So we bought supplies for lunch - YUM!
After eating the supplies beside the chateaux we set out to explore it. This chateaux is built right over the river Cher and it is spectacular. The gardens are also amazing and the weather is getting better each day.
We are really enjoying the Loire Valley so far - it is so green and beautiful and fresh - good to be out of a city.
I hope our Mum's had a great Mother's day - thinking of you and all the wonderful mum's that we know.

  1. Wonderful wonderful! Now I REALLY am jealous. Love the photo with wine and baguette! What a special mothers day. Over here in the land of mundane and ho hum all is good. Leeanne and I were the only ones to walk on mothers day and decided to treat ourselves to an orange mojito at Ha Ha after our walk! Keep up the great work Walkers! Love Sarah
